The Advanced sailing course is tailored to those who want to upgrade their yachtsman knowledge and experience and prepare for the challenges of navigation under sails in different conditions and circumstances at sea.

COURSE PROGRAM
- Revision of the most important topics from the Basic sailing course
- Sailing jargon
- Advanced sail trimming
- Basics of spinnaker/gennaker sailing
- Heavy weather/storm sails and preparation for stormy weather
- Night sailing
- Marine meteorology and forecast interpretation
- Basics of oceanography (waves, currents, and tides)
- Safety equipment on board and dealing with emergency situations
- Man overboard (MOB) recovery
